Hi everyone. I know that it has been a good few weeks since my last update. There has been a number of factors that have meant that I didn’t get round to writing up my weekly update. I can only apologise for this and give you the reasons why its taken so long to get my but in gear and write an update.
1) I bought Assassin’s Creed Unity and have been playing this quite a bit. I’m addicted to this game and series, so unfortunately when a new instalment comes out, everything falls to the wayside for it. Saying that, I haven’t seen as many of the bugs that have been reported in the media. Yes, there are a few minor things, but overall I’m really enjoying the game a lot.
2) For the last week I have been really sick. I think it may have been the cold or flu, but for the most part I have been stuck in bed. At the beginning of the week, it was spent playing Assassin’s Creed, but the last few days I have got some reading done and I now have at least two reviews coming up. Things are coming together.
As we all know, its nearly the beginning of December and that Christmas is fast approaching. I hope you are all getting ready for Christmas. Me? I’ve just about finished all my Christmas shopping, which is a first. I’m usually still buying stuff at the last minute.
I mentioned above that I have been reading a few books. This week alone I managed to finish an advanced copy of Once Upon A Time by S. K Hartley. This was a really great book and it really did help me feel loads better with its nice mixture of sass, sexiness and good old romance. You can read my thoughts on the book here.
I also read and finished on Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young. She is one of my auto-buy authors and this book didn’t disappoint. It was about one my most anticipated characters in the series, Cole, who I have to say doesn’t disappoint in this book. This really is one of the best Contemporary Romance series out there and I can’t say enough about them… except when is the next book out? (Summer 2015 FYI)
Right now I am reading Shooting Scars by Karina Halle, which is the second book in The Artist Trilogy Series. I had read the previous two instalments last year, On Every Road and Sins & Needles. So far, the book is proving interesting and though I do like Camden in this book, I am so intrigued with Javier. He has his own series and I wanted to finish The Artist Trilogy before starting his.
Apart from reading (and playing Assassin’s Creed), I managed to go see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in this film and felt that it was just the precursor to the big battle in the second part. I have heard that the book is the same way, but since I haven’t read the series, I can’t comment. It is a shame as I was really looking forward to see the film
Anyway, that’s all for me. I hope you have a great week.
